Ski Lodge Murder Mystery Finale

After disposing of Number Six yesterday, it appeared as if Maverick would make short work of The Beader, the sole remaining member of the Neopets Staff. However, in a stroke of miraculous luck, The Beader stumbled into a lever which allowed her to stop Maverick and bring his ghastly murdering spree to an end. You see, we told you not to count The Beader out!

The following day, as temperatures climbed and the snow began to clear, The Beader was able to alert the authorities. While preparing Maverick for transport to the Terror Mountain jail, the killer was overheard saying, “You’ll see, there’s no way he’s going to stand for this. I’ll be out in no time… just you watch!”

However, just as Maverick was being hauled off to jail, there was sudden burst of electromagnetic energy, followed by an earth-shattering explosion. When the smoke had cleared, all that was left of Maverick was a few shards of scrap metal. Could it be that the murderer wasn’t really Maverick, but rather a cyborg version of Neopia’s leading investment banker? Sure enough, one of the first bodies which the Terror Mountain coroner recovered was that of the REAL Maverick, who, according to forensic evidence, had been killed weeks before the rest of The Neopets Staff had arrived.

So now, the question that everyone’s asking is: Who is responsible for unleashing the cyborg Maverick on The Neopets Staff? And why would they want to eliminate the members of The NeoPets Staff? Who could it be… a disgruntled hacker? A transmogrified sponsor? Mister Shankly’s hairdresser? Or maybe somebody, or someTHING else…
