Text to Sing allows users to type in words and hear them sung back, as part of a message or other user-created media, without the need for any plug-in or install. Oddcast can configure almost any song or melody to work with this technology.
Male and female English-speaking voices can be used, as well as specialty voices that allow for fun and variability. The end product can consist of either the sung text by itself, or the sung text along with background music.
Core Functionality
One or more melodies programmed, based on client song selection.
Flash-based interface that integrates with all Oddcast applications, and can be incorporated into third-party applications.
Users can type in any copy and hear it sung to the pre-set melody.
Playback can occur via one of our character types or as audio only.
Notes
Only works for original and alternate lyrics. Custom songs cannot work since they are generated server side. Some of the voices are also not working in the original website. Some of the character portraits don’t match with the option selected, it’s unclear why.
